So yeah, check for moth holes when looking secondhand. Look closely along pleats, seams, and waistbands. Hold the fabric up to the light. Tiny holes are easy to miss if you don’t check. Keep in mind, a tiny hole isn't end of the world - it's very easy to stitch up (or patch) a tiny hole but it's cumbersome when there are several.

Wool Care: Less Dramatic Than People Think

Wool has an unfair reputation for being high maintenance. It does require care, but not constant care.

First things first: most wool does not belong in the washing machine. Heat and agitation will ruin it. But that also doesn’t mean dry cleaning every time you wear it.

Here are some wool care hacks:

• Toss the skirt in the dryer on no heat to knock out dust and debris

• Lightly spray with a vodka + water mixture to disinfect and deodorize (add fresh lavender if you want it to be fragrant)

• Hang to air out

That’s it.

Just because something is high quality, or high dollar, doesn’t mean it needs to be precious. Wool is durable by nature. It's just...hair.

Mid-length wool skirts work best with short sleeve graphic tees - not tight ones, not cropped ones, but a solid, well-made cotton tee with a relaxed fit.
